Description

Please join the Capital Area Health Alliance on December 13 for the 2019 Health Equity Forum, our signature event of the year. We are honored to have Dr. Gail Christopher, a nationally renowned speaker, give the keynote address, RX Racial Healing: An Engagement Strategy for Eliminating Health Inequities. Dr. Christopher will also lead us in a community response that will include table discussions, a visioning exercise, and identifying collaborative strategies we can take as a region to eliminate health inequities. We’ll start off the event with a hot breakfast buffet at 8:30 a.m. to nourish our bodies as we get to work nourishing our community. The program will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Dr. Christopher is an award-winning change agent widely recognized for designing holistic strategies for social change. She is the former Senior Advisor and Vice President of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and past Executive Director of The Institute for Government Innovation at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She also was instrumental in designing the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation process underway in the greater Lansing area.
